Based on their analysis of new-vehicle registration and retail information from IHS Automotive from the first half of this year, Honda anticipates the Accord, CR-V, Civic, and the Odyssey will finish 2014 at the top of their segments. All four were bestsellers in 2013 as well.

The Accord, CR-V, and Civic are all expected to top sales of 300,000 for the year while the Odyssey will likely continue to own 32% of retail minivan sales-1 of every 3 minivans purchased in the US in 2014 will be a Honda.

“While competitors rely on deep-discounts and sales to corporate and rental fleets,” says Jeff Conrad, senior vice president and general manager of the Honda Division, “Honda continues to achieve steady and sustainable growth based on the quality and value of our products in the hands of individual customers.”

A point of pride for Honda, and definitely worth mentioning, is that Honda continues surpassing their own sales records and leading their segments with the lowest overall incentive spending of the top seven automakers.
