Chevrolet Colorado Optimized for Child Safety

As part of National Child Passenger Safety Week, Safe Kids Worldwide partnered with the GM Foundation and released a study showing about 90% of parents allow children to transition out of their booster seat to seat belts before they reach the recommended height and weight.
One approach Chevrolet is taking to increase compliance with these recommendations is improving accommodation of booster seats and child restraints in the limited space available in the rear seat of the midsize extended cab Colorado. Chevy made this improvement by combining the pickup’s removable head rest with an extended rear passenger side seat cushion to allow room for today’s larger child restraint and booster seats arrangements.
