Toyota Offers New Limited Edition Avalon XLE Touring Sport Package

The 2015 model year marks year 3 in the 4th generation of Toyota Avalon design. The new model year sees the Avalon receive a few upgrades and refinements. Additionally, Toyota is offering a limited edition—only 2,500 will be produced—XLE Touring Sport trim level on sale starting in October of this year through March, 2015.

We at DMF are proponents of the sedan as a family hauler as long as it is roomy and doesn’t leave us wanting for technology and family-friendly features. Toyota claims roominess in saying interior volume (103.6 cubic feet of cabin space and a 16 cubic foot trunk) pushes the Avalon closer to full-size dimensions while the exterior dimensions “keep it firmly in the sporty/agile camp.”

As far as tech and features go, the XLE Touring Sport builds on the XLE Touring trim level which comes with a load of standard features such as paddle shifters, Toyota’s Entune Premium Audio with Navigation, Toyota’s comprehensive STAR Safety System, and a Blind Spot Monitor system.

In addition to the standard XLE Touring features, the XLE Touring Sport package features:

  • Exclusive Attitude Black exterior and interior with dark blue trim and stitching on the heated front seats
  • Unique Touring Sport badging
  • Exclusive 18 inch black-painted wheels
  • HID Quadrabeam headlights (from the Limited trim level) and LED daytime running lights
  • Aluminum scuff plate door sills

The interior also features badging unique to the trim level with Touring Sport Edition logo floor mats and a Touring Sport Edition splash screen logo on the 7 inch infotainment screen.

The XLE Touring Sport will be powered by the Avalon’s 3.5 liter V-6 with 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.
