Lexus Discontinues IS 250 and 250 AWD in Favor of IS 200t, 300 AWD, 350

Lexus is rearranging their IS line-up, discontinuing the IS 250 and 250 AWD. The 2016 IS line-up will include the IS 200t, IS 300 AWD, and IS 350. Lexus will also offer F SPORT variants on individual models.
The new IS 200t, available as RWD only, features a 2.0-liter twin-scroll turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine with intercooler paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. This engine cranks out 241 hp and has 258 lb.-ft. torque at 1,650-4,400 rpm.
For 2016, Lexus is offering the IS 300 AWD with 255 hp and 236 lb.-ft. torque at 2,000-4,800 rpm. The IS 300 AWD features a modified 3.5-liter V6 engine paired to a six-speed automatic transmission.
Lexus continues to offer the IS 350, in both RWD and AWD models. The IS 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 306 hp and 277 lb.-ft. of peak torque. The IS 350 will feature standard 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.
Each of the brand’s IS vehicles will continue to maintain the same sporty sedan look Lexus customers have grown accustomed to with the brand’s signature spindle grille, L-theme LED daytime running lights and dynamic body lines.
Additional add-ons to the 2016 IS models are the new Premium Plus Package with power/tilt telescopic steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers, available Lexus Enform Service Connect, and heated steering wheel available as a standalone option.
