The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has awarded the 2016 Volkswagen Golf 4-door, Golf SportWagen, Golf GTI 4-door, and Jetta models the rating of 2015 TOP SAFETY PICK+, when equipped with the optional Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking system.

Additional passive and active safety systems include Automatic Post-Collision Braking System as standard the following optional features:

• Adaptive Cruise Control
• Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (Front Assist)
• Lane Departure Warning system (Lane Assist)
• Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Traffic Alert.
