Nissan Previews 2016 Model Year Line-Up

After major changes coming down the line for 2014 and 2015, Nissan is keeping things rather status quo for MY 2016 so far with the exception of the Maxima. Here’s the brand’s breakdown:

2016 Nissan Altima, LEAF and Sentra

Details on the new 2016 Altima, LEAF and Sentra will be available closer to its arrival at Nissan dealers nationwide… and we don’t yet know when that will be. We are expecting an aggressive redesign of the Altima based on the concept images we’ve seen.

2016 Nissan Maxima

A completely redesigned 2016 Maxima is on sale now featuring a new 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine, 8.0-inch capacitive color display with smartphone-like controls and swipe-to-meter functionality and a new performance-oriented Xtronic transmission with wider ratio range. The Maxima is offered in five fully equipped models: Maxima S, SV, SL, SR and Platinum.

2016 Nissan Versa

Coming off a redesign for MY 2015, Nissan is adding two new colors and standard body-colored power outside mirror on all models for MY 2016. Other model additions include:

  • Addition of standard rear speakers for Versa Sedan S grade
  • SL grade adds leather-wrapped steering wheel
  • Offered in S, S Plus, SV and SL models

The 2016 Nisan Versa is on sale in showrooms now.

2016 Nissan Versa Note

The 2016 Versa Note SV sees upgrades to its standard equipment with technology previously available as part of the Convenience Package- NissanConnect with Mobile Apps, 5.0-inch color display, Streaming audio via Bluetooth®, Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant and SiriusXM Satellite Radio (SiriusXM subscription required, sold separately), RearView Monitor and Divide-N-Hide® Adjustable Floor.

Cayenne Red and Gun Metallic are the new exterior colors offered for MY 2016.

The 2016 Nissan Versa Note is on sale now.

2016 Nissan GT-R

The GT-R is getting sportier in NY 2016, most notably with new 20-spoke RAYS aluminum-alloy forged wheels with premium dark finish replacing the previous 10-spoke design for the GT-R Premium and a limited-availability 45th Anniversary Gold Edition with special exterior paint color.

All 2016 Nissan GT-Rs are built on an exclusive Premium Midship platform, which enables the use of the unique independent rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system.

The 2016 Nissan GT-R is offered in three models: GT-R Premium, GT-R Black Edition and GT-R NISMO and is on sale now at select GT-R certified Nissan dealerships nationwide.

2016 Nissan 370Z Coupe

Nissan is adding some technology to the MY 2016 370Z Coupe to make the driver and rider experience more enjoyable including an available Bose® audio system on the Sport and NISMO models, incorporating Active Noise Cancellation and Active Sound Enhancement.

For the exterior, a new Deep Blue Pearl paint color replaces 2015’s Midnight Blue offering.

The 2016 Nissan 370Z Coupe is currently on sale at dealerships.

2016 Nissan Armada
Nissan is keeping the MY 2016 Armada details close to home and is set to reveal them at a later date.

2016 Nissan JUKE

Last year, the JUKE got a refresh of its front and rear facias and this year the 2016 model is upping the unique factor by allowing buyers to customize their JUKE like never before- with a range of “color packs” that are set to “change the look and feel of the vehicle through the JUKE Color Studio.”

Siri Eyes Free has been added as standard for 2016.

The 2016 Nissan JUKE will be available in dealerships in October.

2016 Nissan Murano

Another recently redesigned family-friendly model in the Nissan family, the Murano, will see no significant changes for MY 2016. The new model year of the vehicle will be available in January.

2016 Nissan Pathfinder

Convenience is added in the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder with the Cold Package (heated cloth front seats, steering wheel, outside rearview mirrors) available with SV grade and the SL grade adding a standard heated steering wheel.

Inside buyers will find a revised interior with contrasting black and beige materials.

The 2016 Nissan Pathfinder will arrive at dealerships in December.

2016 Nissan Quest

The Quest sees no major upgrades or enhancements for MY 2016. It will be offered in four trim levels (S, SV, SL and Platinum) and available to buyers in November.

2016 Nissan Rogue

 

Ccoming off a hugely successful redesign, Nissan capitalizes on what customers are looking for by adding enhancements for the 2016 Rogue including:

  • Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) added to Rogue SL Premium Package
  • NissanConnect Services powered by SiriusXM added to Rogue SL
  • Blind Spot Warning (BSW) functionality changed from camera-based to radar-based
  • Siri™ Eyes Free added to Rogue SV Premium Package and Rogue SL
  • Body-colored outside mirrors with integrated turn signals and chrome door handles added to Rogue S Appearance Package

Buyers will also be able to purchase their 2016 Rogue in a new color- Magnetic Black.

The 2016 Rogue will arrive at dealerships this autumn.

Nissan Xterra

Say goodbye to the Xterra. The last Xterra will be sold this autumn with no future production plans in place to continue the model.

2016 Nissan Frontier

The 2016 Frontier will be available three new exterior colors: Sunset Orange, Gun Metallic and Magnetic Black, replacing Metallic Blue, Night Armor and Super Black. Buyers will have the option of adding a moonroof with the Frontier Crew Cab SV model.

The 2016 Nissan Frontier will be available at dealerships in September.

2016 Nissan TITAN XD Crew Cab

The all-new 2016 Nissan TITAN XD is powered by a powerful Cummins® 5.0L V8 Turbo Diesel rated at 310 horsepower and a hefty 555 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a heavy-duty 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission.

Keeping up with competitor’s offerings, the 2016 TITAN features:

  • Integrated Trailer Brake Controller
  • Trailer Sway Control
  • Tow/Haul Mode with Downhill Speed Control
  • Trailer Light Check system that allows one-person hook-up operation – including checking turn signals, brake lights and running/clearance lights
  • TITAN’s RearView Monitor with Trailer Guides
  • available Around View® Monitor
  • Moving Object Detection

More information on the full lineup will be available at a later date. The TITAN XD will be available in late 2015 with gasoline-powered models coming to market in spring 2016.
