Recall Alert: 2016 HR-V – Inspect and Replace Tire, Vehicle Emissions Labels

Honda is voluntarily recalling nearly 12,000 2016 HR-Vs in the United States to inspect and replace, if needed, tire information and vehicle emission labels.

Blaming the possibility that “the labels may not have been affixed or that incorrect labels were applied,” Honda notes that while improper, “No crashes or injuries have been reported related to either issue, both of which were discovered through quality inspections.”

All owners of affected vehicles are encouraged to take them to an authorized dealer as soon as they receive notification of this recall from Honda. Mailed notification to customers will begin in mid-September. In addition, owners of these vehicles can determine if their vehicles require repair by going to www.recalls.honda.com or by calling (800) 999-1009, and selecting option 4.
