Land Rover Discovery Sport Dynamic Debuts at Frankfurt Auto Show

Jaguar-Land Rover revealed the Land Rover Discovery Sport Dynamic at the Frankfurt Auto Show, highlighting off a refined exterior, off-road capabilities and the option of a diesel engine.

Exterior enhancements including Narvik Black exterior details, body-coloured mouldings and door claddings and the choice of a unique new 19″ wheel design in Satin Dark Grey, or a 20″ Gloss Black wheel. The Discovery Sport Dynamic gets new interior colors and detailing as well.

The capability of the Discovery Sport is heightened by the introduction of All Terrain Progress Control (ATPC) for 2016. ATPC is an advanced system that enables drivers to set and maintain a steady speed in off-road conditions. Developed by Land Rover’s industry-leading all-terrain specialists, ATPC functions similarly to a cruise control system but also adapts the vehicle’s behaviour according to the terrain, including off-road situations.

ATPC also features a dedicated Launch feature, allowing the vehicle to pull away smoothly and easily, even on problematic low-friction surfaces like ice, snow or wet grass.

To make family life in the Discovery Sport easier, Land Rover has introduced Gesture Tailgate, operated by a kicking motion, that allows hands-free access to the load space.

To help customers identify the most efficient derivative, Land Rover has introduced ‘E-Capability’ to Discovery Sport. Models that deliver the best possible CO2 for each variant will be recognisable with a blue SPORT badge at the rear of the vehicle.

A release date and pricing have not yet been announced.
