2017 Ford Raptor is Officially a Reality

It was promised to us last year at the North American International Auto Show and this year, Ford has followed through on that promise showing off the 2017 Ford Raptor on the floor of the show. This is what buyers will find when they see it for themselves at auto show across the country this year:

It’s roomy. The all-new Ford F-150 Raptor SuperCrew has added room for passengers and gear, with a diver and four passengers comfortably fitting inside the truck.

It’s agile. If you get under the truck (not recommended but you probably could) you’d see a chassis and suspension built with “the DNA of a Baja race truck” that Ford says, “enables it to travel fast over challenging desert landscapes or crawl over rocky terrain.”

It’s strong and lightweight. High-strength steel and high-strength, military grade, aluminum alloy have helped the Raptor lose up to 500 pounds over the prior Raptor generation which will help in handling and fuel efficiency.

It has an exclusive engine. According to Ford, “The high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost is a Raptor-exclusive in the F-150 lineup paired with an all-new 10-speed transmission for improved efficiency.”

It’s made in America. All-new F-150 Raptor will be built at Dearborn Truck Plant and goes on sale in the U.S. and Canada in the autumn.
