Jaguar Promises a More Dynamic XF for MY 2017

Jaguar’s business saloon is getting all-wheel drive and a 180PS 2.0-litre Ingenium four-cylinder diesel engine in the 2017 XE.
Jaguar’s developed the torque on-demand AWD system, which features Intelligent Driveline Dynamics entirely in-house. It was launched in the F-TYPE AWD, and, “delivers rear-wheel drive character and agility but can transfer precisely the right amount of torque to the front axle when required, maximising the performance and dynamics benefits of the additional traction.”
Jaguar’s Configurable Dynamics allows drivers to individually configure suspension, steering, throttle and transmission settings through the vehicle’s touchscreen. Though originally offered only on V6 models, Jaguar offers that, “Configurable Dynamics will now be available on all 180PS four-cylinder diesel models with automatic transmissions.”
For precision XF drivers with the InControl Touch Pro infotainment system, the automaker offers Dynamic-i, a feature that provides the driver with a stopwatch, g-meter, lap timer and graphs of brake and accelerator pedal activation.
For the first time, Jaguar’s Adaptive Dynamics continuously variable damping system will be available on manual transmission models.
The updated XE line-up is expected to be available in Spring 2016.
