Recall Alert: Numerous Makes and Models Added to Takata Airbag Recall

The National Highway Transportation Safety Administration has added numerous family-friendly vehicle makes and models to their Takata airbag recall roster. According to the NHTSA, BMW, Daimler Vans (including Sprinter Vans labeled Mercedes-Benz, Dodge and Freightliner), Ford, Honda (including Acura), Mazda, Mercedes-Benz (including Chrysler), and Volkswagen (including Audi) have expanded their Takata recalls to include vehicles equipped with driver-side air bag inflators

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has notified that it has been informed that certain driver’s side airbags that use non-desiccated SDI and PSDI-5 inflators from Takata, which are also installed in Volkswagen cars, are potentially defective.
